Joan Marie Laurer or popularly known as Chyna, was born December 27, 1970 in Rochester, New York. Her parents were Janet and Joe Laurer. Joan started to join fitness competitions as soon as she finishes college. But eventually, Laurer always ending up at the bottom place. Because of her huge size advantage compare to other female competitor. With her substantial huge body frame compare to average girls, she decided to attend Wladek “Killer” Kowalski’s professional wrestling school in Massachusetts. While having her training she also works on different independent promotions which she uses Joanie Lee as her ring name. Her wrestling fame is still in jeopardy until she met World Wrestling Federation (WWF) superstar Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels after a professional show in late 90’s. From there on Chyna never looked back as she continues to climb the ladder to the top of the wrestling world.
